Continental partners with Auto Future Tech as official distributor in Qatar

Continental, one of the world’s leading manufacturers of premium and high-performance tires, has today officially announced a partnership which will see the newly-founded Auto Future Tech become the official distributor of Continental products in Qatar.

The partnership was announced to assembled guests and media the Al Gassar Resort in Doha and was attended by Continental’s Head of Marketing and Sales Middle East & North Africa; Martin Buday and the Managing Director of Continental Middle East; Andreas Bertram. They were joined for the official signing ceremony by the President and CEO of Alfardan Group; Mr. Omar Alfardan, and other Executive Managers from the company.

The partnership will see Continental’s full range of passenger, van and truck products stocked at Auto Future Tech’s Salwa Road outlet, due to open in December, with three further outlets planned to open in the short term. Auto Future tech is the latest automotive sector offering of the well-established Alfardan Group.

Founded in Hannover, Germany, in 1871, Continental is now one of the world’s leading automotive suppliers and a leader in tyre development and technology, backed up by its position in Europe as the leading OEM supplier for tires. Continental’s Middle East presence dates back to 2008, and the new partnership with Auto Future Tech will serve to reinforce its activities in the Qatari market.

Continental’s Tire Division is also the Tire Partner and Official Sponsor of the upcoming 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil, having previously sponsored the 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa.
